Account Notification

Capital One and Saks Fifth Avenue have been partners since 2016, bringing you our SaksFirst Credit program. After careful consideration, we have mutually decided to end this relationship. As a result, your SaksFirst Credit account will be closing on December 29, 2020.

Your loyalty has meant the world to us, and we want to deeply apologize for any inconvenience this decision may cause. We also have some important details to share with you below.

About Your SaksFirst Credit Account

  • As of December 29, 2020, you and any authorized users on your account will no longer be able to make purchases. If your account has a balance as of that date, be sure to continue making payments to your account.
  • If you have an outstanding balance or any pending transactions on December 29, 2020, your account terms will continue to apply, and we’ll send you statements until your account has been paid in full.
  • Once we issue your first statement after December 29, 2020 with no balance owing and no pending transactions, your account will be closed. If you have a credit balance of $5 or greater on the date we close your account, we’ll send you a cheque in the mail for that amount.

About SaksFirst

In addition, we want to let you know that the SaksFirst rewards program in Canada will end on December 29, 2020. You will no longer accrue points after that date. All of your points will be redeemed for you and sent to you in the form of a SaksFirst Gift Card that can be used anytime at a rate of $0.01 per SaksFirst Point. For example, if you have 3,500 SaksFirst Points in your SaksFirst rewards account on December 29, 2020, you will receive a $35 SaksFirst Gift Card.

Other Important Information

For your security, please make sure that you destroy your card and ask any authorized users to destroy their card(s) as well.

We recently sent you a letter to let you know that your SaksFirst Credit account would be closing, and we’d like to share some additional information with you.

About Your SaksFirst Credit Account

You and any authorized users on your account are no longer able to make purchases on your SaksFirst Credit Card(s). If you have an outstanding balance, including a balance on a Special Payment Plan, be sure to continue making your payments. You can keep making payments online through your financial institution. Alternatively, you can make payments in a Saks store until May 3, 2021.

About Online Servicing for Your Account

You’ll be able to sign in to your SaksFirst Credit online servicing account until May 16, 2021. If you currently receive paperless statements, you’ll begin to receive paper statements in April 2021, and you’ll no longer receive email alerts regarding your statements and payments beginning May 2021.

Other Important Information

For your security, please make sure you destroy your card and ask any authorized users to destroy their card(s) as well.
